Ecumenical comes from the Greek "oikoumene", which means "the whole inhabited world" and refers to an Ecclesial Movement aiming to unify all the Christians in the world.
Mary's Way or Via Maria is a walking route leading mainly through nature. Embarking on the over 1,400 km long route leading past places of spiritual and cultural values in the Carpathian basin is highly recommended for those interested in completing a spiritual inner journey as well. There are about 60 major and minor pilgrimage sites and also a number of natural, built and cultural values worth visiting along the Hungarian part of the route. Symbols and road signs mark the route and there is also a list of recommended accommodation and a guide with a map for pilgrims. The town is located on route M01/08b Bük leading to the Ecumenical Chapel in Bükfürdő.
