Kneipp Gate – Double Helix

The Double Helix is a transparent piece of public art made of seemingly organic material, which almost animates the whole sculpture symbolising the double helix of the DNA and thus molecules i.e. determining and key components of life. The six panels cut to resemble open tissues are made from Corten sheets and consist of three differently curved element couples which are assembled on two opposite golden spiral ground-plans.
